In The Name of Art

‘In The Name of Art’ is a visually inventive short film of silhouettes and a world of artists. The narrative follows two artists' creation of the ultimate work of art for an art competition. Told as an oscillation between two worlds, we discover that what it takes to win an art award, often involves deception.

The emerging talent Mardo El-Noor, winner of first prize Idealog Graduate Research in Graphic Design, presents a work with certain dyes autobiographical, which reflects the artist's life in their struggle to achieve or maintain prestige.

New Releases in Animacam: International Animation Festival.

New Releases in Animacam entire weekend.

This weekend we enjoyed Animacan new releases that come from all over the planet. The animations for this release we get from Egypt, Romania, Argentina and Spain.

From Argentina Pablo Urtado offers an exploration of the individualism that marks the person autobiographical model, which is reminiscent appreciated of Nietzsche, Dumolier, Braudrillard and Tarkovsky. Anton Octavian from Romania, offers us the futuristic vision of a child living on a floating island. While in Egypt comes The people of the river a 3D movie made by children between 6 and 10 years, which tells the story about one of the oldest cities of Egypt, Nubia. On the Spanish side, we continue with the series of Chip and Films "Sin Tetas no hay nadie en mi piso," and the animated series of Jaume Rofes.

HOMELAND

Juan de Dios Marfil sends us from the Czech Republic, a beautiful 2D animation full of feeling, emotion and tenderness. It extrapolated social values extolled the dynamism of modern society with a focus of struggle and perseverance in love.

Camouflage - Excerpt from the first animated feature 3D Cuban

Camuflaje is an excerpt from the animated film "Meñique", the first Cuban feature 3D animation is in the process of animating, texturing, lighting and make special effects. The film is a loose adaptation of the story's namesake island writer José Martí, conducted for the magazine "La edad de oro".

Animacam Scoop offers a fragment of this film, made by Ernesto Padrón, who asserts that "the greatest challenge" that had to overcome was not model 3D character, protagonist of the film, but to build its system of bones - never before done in Cuba- handlers through some action that would allow body movements or gestures of the face. The project, which has two years of delay due to funding problems, was scheduled to launch in 2011. Today we can enjoy one of the seven sequences completed by the time that they counted in their final set of 80 minutes long with music singer-songwriter Silvio Rodriguez.

From Cuba, Ernesto Padrón, offers a beautiful 3D a fragment of the film "Meñique", titled "Camuflaje". Nigeria gives us a beautiful, colorful animation and sympathy. Since the Czech Republic comes a story of tenderness and hope. New Animation releases this week in Animacam

We start again this week of August to present five new animation films to the Official Competition of this third edition of Animacam Festival which animate the summer, autumn, winter and spring walking through the network. We show animations from all over the world: Argentina, Spain, Turkey and Canada. Humorous animated series for adults and for children, invented and creative advertising, stop-motion at movie theaters and prehistoric monsters unimaginable.

Tercer Ojo Group, from Argentina, again took part in Animacam presenting a 3D animated series for kids: The Animated Zen. Telling stories, tales and legends about what Buddhism, trying to spread peace, tranquility and harmony. The Canadian Scott Portingale, shows a stop-motion that illustrates the artistic journey of a wayward camera and personal discovery of its true potential. Tayyar Ozkan performs a traditional 2D animation to evoke the earliest times in Caveman: as it was tthe life in prehistoric times, as hunting and fighting against monsters, as was the fire ...

The Spanish animator Jaume Rofes presents a collection of teleshopping own ads under the title The corner of suicide. This first suicide kit introduces us to the Critters from Teutonia, some animals able to cause death through its strong and intense greed. Then we will debuting more of this series of advertisements. Finally, we release a new Teta series in Sin Tetas no hay nadie en mi piso. Newly created, this episode speaks about A Summer Bussiness, a Pedrolo idea ... something totally illogical.

New animation releases in the II Women Animating Special Week

We continue to celebrate this Second Special Week Women Animating in Animacam with five new animation releases by women animators from around the world. Traditional animation done on acetate, 3D animation, flash and stop-motion mixing in these five new films in the festival to commemorate the increasingly important work of women in the animation world: neither more and no less than ten works animation.

The Ballad of the Minister of War Theodor Earl Baillet de Latour

On October 6th 1848, as the troops of the Austrian Empire were preparing to leave Vienna to suppress the Hungarian Revolution, a crowd sympathetic to the Hungarian cause and sick of the ruling Habsburg-regime and its reactionist minister of war Theodor Count Baillet de Latour, started to roam the streets, heavily armed. The incident escalated into various violent street battles. Under the guidance of workers and students, the angry mob conquered the ministry of war to lynch unpopular Latour. The Vienna Uprising of October 1848 was the last uprising of the Austrian Revolution of 1848.

The Austrian animator Pascale Osterwalder, narrated in a rhythmic and versed song the events happened in Vienna after 1848, when the war minister Count de Latour, with a hard government repression makes a full revolution revolt in Hungary.

Me, The King & My Dad

Azadeh Moezzi, a very young animator from Iran, shows us a tender story about parental love that a child feels for his father, the king. Can the love of a child to change the fate of the throne? The artist tries to answer this question with this work.

"Me, The King & My Dad" is a short (13':40") cut-outanimated film animated ,illustratedand directed and co-produced (in collaboration with DEFC) by azadeh moezzi, an iranian female artist.The sound designer and composer for the film is Mehrdad Nabaie a seasoned and talented artist. Azadeh has worked as a professional animator,illustrator and painter for several years.this is her first film as director.

In the depths of a great forest covered in a great white mantle, curious little creatures discover how beautiful and fascinating and white snow is… as it whirls them giddily on their way to extraordinary encounters with the strange and wonderful. A nocturnal tale brimming with tenderness.

Joanna Lurie participates with her work Le silence sous l'ecorce, a fable that uses the mix of 2D and 3D.
Joanna Lurie studied animated film and 3D animation at the art schools in Angoulme. But she had previously worked in advertising and was also focused on photography, set design and the manufacture of puppets. She is currently working as an animator and has contributed to the making of several animated series and films. She is the author of several short films, such as Too Close to the Sun (Trop prs du sol, 2004) and Under the Stone (2004).

II Special Week: Women Animating in Animacam

After completing a week of tribute to the women animators in Women Animating, because of the huge amount of contribution made by women who present their films to the festival, we dedicated a new delivery of animations made and developed by women animators. Stories bring us intelligent, social protest against war and against weapons, visual poems, poetic and sweet and local stories as a fable in which we can learn very interesting lessons.

Two French animators
presented in Animacam, two films with a very good quality. Joanna Lurie is one of them, who participates with her work Le silence sous l'ecorce, a fable that uses the mix of 2D and 3D, in which the animals have to find and confront the dangers that threaten them in environment. Caroline Attia recounts the short life of a little girl, who found an armed gun in the bedroom of her parents. A short film that purports to show the danger of guns in private households, which can lead to dire consequences.

The Venezuelan Julie Hermoso, participating in the two previous editions Animacam, again combines visual beauty with the lyric, this time, combining both disciplines to create a poem Mute. Azadeh Moezzi, a

K.I.L.L.

After sharing with us his work Energie! (Present in the Short Film Corner at Cannes), Thorsten Fleisch shows a work with an amazing digital post-production in which he shows more than 180 skyscrapers of American banks titled K.I.L.L..

The film is an accumulation of 180 different perspectives of a bank’s skyscraper. Each perspective takes just one frame. At first there is chaos, then certain systems of visual organisation develop. The sound consists of a sample taken from some trash-movie. Its meaning is: “Our power is boundless and our means are inexhaustible”. The film plays with the relationship between the words and the images creating different meanings in breaking the succession of the words.

After participating with other animation work in Animacam under the title The lost glove, the very young animator from Lithuania, presents new 2D animation work about tenderness and nostalgy for the family who are no longer with us.

Justina Švambarytė
was born in Vilnius -Lithuania- on September 30th in 1987. Since that day, Justina wanted to become an artist. After 22 years, she finished Vilnius College of Design and Construction and officially became a designer.

Mr. Snail and Ballbug

A sweet and emotive story comes from Argentina by the hand of Tercer Ojo Group. Directed by Victor Blasco, the starrings of this story are Mr. Snail and Ballbug, this is the first chapter for an animated series aimed at young audiences.

Tercer Ojo Group is a Argentinian producer company specializing in the creation of audiovisual content for advertising and television, such as animation series, commercials, promos and microsites. Ranging from the development phase and the creation of the idea, to final production of the audiovisual work, has many works of animation present in many festivals.

Galder Arriaga, Basque director and animator, shows a new stop-motion work in Animacam. After Musu Bat (a kiss in Basque), where two lovers were a long way to kiss, Mailiku Films presents Iraultza, where the toys are alliances together to fight and stand up against the owner.

The forest

Antonia is a 12 year old girl. She often has daydreams, in which she wanders of in to a magical far away forest, were she hides from the problems of the real world. One day, however, her father takes drastic measures and she has to face a decision.

Friday releases in Animacam

We welcome this weekend in summer, showing five new works of animation Animacam from Argentina, Lithuania, Spain and Germany. Past participants, authors who show their debut experienced research team up to create a cinema guide with free admission!

Justina Svambaryte a cheerleader xovencísima Lithuania already presented in this edition of his work Animacam The lost glove, Always Beside presents a heartwarming story based on nostalgia and longing for loved ones are gone. David Scharf, an experienced animator in 2D and 3D displays from Germany, his book The Forest, where a girl named Antonia fanciful dreams of magical landscapes, far from the reality experienced every day. Once again, Galder Arriaga Iraultza entertains us with: a curious and friendly stop-motion, after presenting the Festival to work Musu bat, this time, toys and revolutionize alliance ahead of its owner.

The study Catalan Chips & Films presents, after showing its main characters in the series, and start with the first chapters, the Third Teta under the title of Nasal where Pedrolo want to know more about this company called NASA. Finally, a twelve and a touching story comes from Argentina by the hand of the Third Eye Group. Directed by Victor Blasco, the protagonists of this story are Don and pillbugs Caracol, this is the first chapter for an animated series aimed at children.

The act of Borislava Zahova

This project mixes music and visual elements seamlessly, creating a new multimedia world inspired by the abstract sounds of 2 pianos. It is essentially the transcendent search for unity that drives this project. What is 2? Is it the sum of 1 + 1 and when do the 2 halves become One? This film does not give answers. It simply visualizes the process of 2 separate identities struggling with their own weaknesses, strengths, similarities, and differences on the way to becoming ONE.

Borislava Zahova presents a new work of this edition of Animacam. After participating with two other experimental films - Open and Meaning- the Bulgarian author shows 2 Act I: in search of the creation of a new multimedia universe that mixes the sounds with visual effects.

Sin tetas no hay nadie en mi piso arrives with the first problem

Here we have the first episode from the web-series of tit Chips and Films titled Sin Tetas no hay nadie en mi piso and here we have the first problem. Pedrolo can not pay rent to Tecla after enduring a "tiny conditions" in his first job.

Animacam starts the premiere of the chapters of the online series created by Chips and Films Sin Tetas no hay nadie en mi piso. The serie was launched on February 5th, these animations are produced by Albert Busquets, with music by Carlos Galdeano and the voices of Neus López, Javi Martin and the producer of the series. We will be premiering the chapters of this funny and shocking work the next days.

Siete pétalos: she loves me, she doesn´t love me...

"Hi, my name is Tilo. I am a boy in love with life and Vahia: the girl of my dreams. She loves another person at this time. I would like to express my feelings to her, but I measure only an inch and she can`t see me".

Viewer´s Day in Animacam with five new animation works

Again, another week in Animacam, we present five new animated works that enhance and contribute to fulfilling our dream of "walking together to animate the world," established over the network, a global connection that promotes cultural diversity. On this occasion, authors who previously participated in Animacam - in this or other editions-, with new talent and new animators that have interesting artistic and conceptual proposals. From Azerbaijan, Spain, Colombia, Bulgaria and Poland arrives 3D animation, 2D animation, experimental and flash.

Playmobil clicks

Manuel Sirgo, professional animator of the Spanish animation study 12 Pingüinos, shows a 3D comedy with a very famous toys for everyone: Playmobil. In this adventure, a police shares with his psychiatrist about all his worries as the guardian of law and order and also the complications that having a body is so rigid and so inflexible. The study from Madrid, winner of the Goya for Best Animated Short Film in 2002 for the work Pollo, is competing in this third edition in the Short Film Category of Animacam.
